Saturn

Njord, or Njörðr, lives i Asgård i his yard Noatun or Nóatún, which means "Shipyard". Njord is associated with human activities at sea like sipping and fishing, but he has no authority over sea. Giants Ægir and Ran rule over sea.Njord is father of Freyja and Frej. He himself is of Vanaheim klan and lived in Vanaheim. After the war between asers and vaners he var exchanged as a prisoner og war and moved tol Asgård. People say that he was married to his own sister, men at asers was against such practice. Njord menes at være connected with Saturn.

Another story about Njord tells that a giant woman Skade get her father killed by asers and she get an opportunity to choose a husband as a settlement. She had to choose her husband by his feet and she ticked up the prettiest feet in hope that they belong to Balder. It was Njord's feet she fell for. None of them could stand each other: Skade preferred to live on the cold and vild mountains while Njord loved seaside.
